We sat down and interviewed the lovely Kayla Lea who is an Aussie Pornstar.
Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m a hairdresser of 15 years who owned my own salon but decided early this year to completely flip my career and become an Aussie Pornstar. I’ve been with my husband for 15 years who absolutely supports what I do.
How did you get into the industry?
One of my ex staff member’s stepped into the industry a couple of years ago and I saw how well she was doing for herself but thought I could never do that! But my husband said why not give it a go, if you don’t like it don’t do it! So here we are two years later. If it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t be where we are today.
Why did you get into the industry?
Even though we owned our own business we still weren’t making enough. So we both thought why not. I also have a high sex drive so I knew that porn could definitely be more what I could excel in when I love what I do naturally.
Who have you worked with?
In the 9 months I’ve actively been shooting with other people I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside Dale Egan (Primal Instincts), Johnny Sins, Isabelle Deltore, Fit Kitty, Chloe Renee Lynch, Luke Riggs, Hayley Vernon, Seb Guilhaus and many more amazing creators.
Wait… Johnny Sins? We thought he had quit porn but he is now working again it appears. The man, the myth and legend who has had more jobs than anyone else in the world. He has been a teacher, astronaut, doctor, fire fighter, lawyer and more.
What is it like working with Johnny Sins?
He is such a lovely guy! I honestly didn’t know what to expect walking into a amateur shoot with him. I’ll be honest I was nervous. But let’s say walking out I was one happy girl! He was my first professional international male to work with, but this is only the start for me!
Who have you worked for?
I’ve worked for Riggs Films which is an amazing Australian company! But I am yet to go international yet. Just you wait, that’s coming soon.
What’s the best thing about working in the industry?
To be honest I first thought it would be the sex purely. Don’t me wrong you get to experience amazing things working in this industry that I would have never in my outside life. But the humans you meet that understand and don’t judge what you do. Those are true friendships.
Advice for newcomers?
People come into the industry for the wrong intentions. They think they are going to be famous, rich and live this fantasy life in a week. Those are the ones who come and go in a month. It definitely is harder than what meets the eye and you have to have the professionalism and drive to get yourself from A to B. Nothing happens in a week!
Do you watch porn?
Fun fact… I’ve never watched one scene I’ve made. I can’t do it
I’ve edited two scenes and I hated every moment! Everyone laughs at the fact I don’t re-watch it! But I love watching porn that doesn’t involve me. It gets me off so much more.
What’s your favorite niche porn?
That’s a good one… I love a good storyline to a scene, as to just getting into it. I feel like you can relate and get into it more with a strong build up. But I’m saying that I love a good amateur scene that just hits it off!
