Blog Entry: Well i know it's been a while since i commited anything2 blog but def think Tuesday nite is worth a mention.
Ever wondered what it feels like 2 be hit by a car?...well now i know *ouch*
got sideswiped by a car while i was cycling home on tuesday nite minding my own business.
About a 1/4 mile from home i suddenly saw these lights to my right (remember we drive on the other side of the road my american friends:wink:) then *crash* in2 my back wheel goes this car, i fly up in the air, bouce off his bonnet, skip across the pavement and go headfirst in2 an iron fence!
All i can say is thank fuck i had my helmet on cos i swear 2 u all rite now, i'd b dead now if i hadn't worn it, no lie.
Can't believe (and i promise u i'm thankful for it) how slight my injuries are. Got the obvious cuts, bruises and gravel-rash, as well as some swollen bits n maybe a broken hand (this is taking ages 2 type btw) i'm in 1 piece. I didn't even get a headache the helmet did such a gr8 job. Looked @ it when i got 2 hospital and was like *wow*, it's got a crack @ the front, the back and all through the middle.
So basically, the last cpl of days i've been sittin about thinkin quite how lucky i am 2 have gotten out alive, let alone without major trauma...don't get me wrong, EVERYTHING hurts @ the mo, lol, but i def got away lightly.
Was the strangest feeling, i saw the lights coming, knew what was going 2 happen and then it all went in slow motion. I managed 2 change my body position 2 fall right in mid-air. Crazy stuff!
so there we go people. do crazy things but 4 fuck's sake, keep safe!

oh, and in case any1 wondered, the bike's absolutely fucked, looks like a piece of modern art lol.
